Our house is now at the point we are waiting to hear back from our bank with the funding for the land and that we will get a building contract sent to us any day now. We have also gone to the block of land and taken some photos for ourselves to be able to prepare a cleanup before the builder starts working.
There has been news of a 10 year school reunion at home, bad thing is that they didn't give a lot of time for us to get organized. I am going to try my best. But fact number one is, that we cant go anywhere until we have everything organized with the house.
Fact number two, i have not seen a confirmation by anyone if they have had any invitation letter for me in their letterbox. Since every invitation have a number that needs to be quoted upon paying for the ticket.
Fact number three is When we have organized the house build, the amount of time we will have to properly get holiday time organized with mikes job and organizing flights. I would like to know there will be enough time to scramble together. but i cant make any promises.
Fact number four is the amount of money we will have at that point, because of all the things happening over Christmas We have had to apply for the loan in two chunks. One for the land, and for the house build. Meaning we will not get the first home owners grant as expected because we have to have proof that we will build on the land. No first home owners grant means we need to pay the land transfer tax (that we didn't plan for) and its taken us over budget. when we do have a building contract we can re claim the tax plus get the first home owners grant. So it really depends on how quick we can get everything to happen. To anyone expecting a date anytime soon, i can only say. Hang in there, i want to book as soon as possible. But as far as it is now, I myself don't even have any idea of when that's going to be.

My birthday is coming up quicker than i would like it to, but the Sunday will be spent going to Elmar's a German restaurant/ bar with what id describe as very homey food. Its going to be nice.
