Its about time for another post i believe
Also the first post in this new year of 2012.
New years was great and we spent the time getting to know a new member to the extended family. Hes name is Theo, and the most adorable boxer ever. He spent most of his time sleeping on mikes shoe.

I have heard back from my new job, and i am starting work on Monday morning. Its very exciting for me to actually finally be in the line of work i have been studying for. But still, there is a small amount of butterflies fluttering in my belly. Im getting a bit nervous for my first day, but that's only to expect i think.

During these past days since i wrote, i have also been baking some cupcakes. (Picture below.)
I didn't really like the taste of them at all, they were vanilla flavor, but they were very popular with every one else so they got eaten really quickly anyway.

We have also been down to Mandurah again, and visited a garden / Miniature village a bit south of Mandurah. And that was very pretty. I took lots of photos while we were there. We were looking at all the model houses, and walking through the gardens smelling flowers. We also walked a maze, a big proper one and played some mini golf. After that we had some food in the tea rooms, and later on went to the waterfront in Mandurah to have something to drink and had a very nice time.

The past two days i have also spent oil painting and for now im painting a rose, i took a picture of  one in the Miniature village garden and im using it as a reference. So far i think its going really well. I might post a picture of it here when im finished painting it. We'll see. :)

Pat and peter have gone home now too, yesterday was the day that we dropped them off at the airport. The house have felt a bit empty today, since i have been the only one at home. Also, knowing that pat and peter have gone made it a little bit more empty.  I spent my time, cleaning, washing clothes and talking to the dogs. Sometimes its good having the little lovable creatures in the house to talk to, intelligent enough to respond (at least a bit) in lack of human companion.
But i ensure you that im completely sane. I just enjoy talking to them. It makes me feel better about being home alone.

Tomorrow the wedding dress is due for pick-up at the dry cleaners. So we will pick it up and do some food shopping at the same time. After that im hoping to go in to Perth to buy myself an Easel for my painting so i don't have to sit on the floor. Maybe a few new colours too, my first set of colours is running out quickly, especially the green at the moment.

That's it.
Until next time. Have fun!

Today's song:
Hot Chelle Rae - I like it like that
