Yesterday i had forgotten to take some pictures of our progress with the back yard.

But today i have taken some pictures seen below.

The garden-beds have been completed and I am currently in the progress of picking out plants for them. It is not an easy task because this garden has some limitations when it comes to the space and the intended end use. We are planning for all possible possibilities, planning this garden on a long term perspective for a possible rental property or very easy maintenance and easy sell when we decide one day it is time to move on.

The trench below was dug to lay some cable to eventually power our water feature that is going to be installed in the corner of the biggest garden bed. It is not pretty to look at but we are quite proud that we managed to hand dig this 62 cm deep trench in just two and a half hours. 

Every thing we do together on this house makes us appreciate the finished product even more than we would have done if we didn't do any work at all.

I have also started a little fruit garden and bought lemon trees and a lime tree. Both of them are really well and the lemon tree is currently flowering like crazy. The bees seem to love the flowers and i have already counted 34 little green lemon buds starting to grow in little clusters here and there. The lime tree have so far only produced some new leaves. But i don't think that it will start flowering until the spring.
