Last post i had a lot going on, i had interviews with a few agents and a company, that company has ended up offering me a position as a import operations coordinator. This has been in the works for a while now ,but i had been forbidden to talk about it up until recently as it has been classified information. Because of these daily meetings with work and coordination with my new job, its been quite hectic around Christmas as this has been combined with Christmas preparations and my final exam for the year in my studies. I've passed the exam, and all the security checks/medical tests i have had to get through for my new job. Needless to say i did accept the job offer in the end and it has all been finalized. I am currently having a bit of a gap holiday as i finished my old job on the Tuesday last week. I will be starting the new job this coming Monday the 5th of January.
It was all very sudden for all my workmates as they only new about me changing jobs four days before my last day at work. I said goodbye to everyone by buying them a cake. Life is a strange thing sometimes, you are happy where you are and then suddenly these unexpected things happen and you know your life will be different from then on.
Hopefully i will be able to go down the life-path i have chosen, and i also hope the new workplace is going to treat me as good as the previous place. I am going to miss them.
As for this years Christmas preparations i didn't get much of preparing done at all because i had so much else on. So i feel the need to apologize for not sending out a single Christmas card this year. I didn't even celebrate a Swedish Christmas this year as planned. I've been a bit like a dry leaf in the wind and just let the Christmas celebrations pull me to places i needed to go to spend time with the family. Or work to be dealt with as it needed to be done.
One of Mikes cousins from Wales have also come over on a working holiday visa to get new experiences. so we have been spending quite a lot of time with him and showing him lots of things to do around the city.
Christmas eve was spent with family doing the secret Santa and hanging out. (i also wrapped my last gifts the same day, talking about being a dry leaf in the wind before) The Christmas morning was spent on our own in our first Christmas in the house.
We had our first cooked breakfast in the house then we headed up for the Christmas lunch and celebrations at mikes parents house. I feel quite lucky this year because i got more gifts than i could have expected. And a lot of them i had forgotten that i had even wished for. The annual Christmas gift tower can be seen below.
(not all gifts are in the picture because some were already put away)
In no particular order i got:
Jigsaw puzzle of the seven wonders of the world
Reindeer decoration
Swedish traditions book
Candle marking numbers

And tonight it is new years eve. The last few hours of this year. Its been quite eventful and hopefully next year will bring a lot of new adventures for us to get through.
Happy new year everybody!
