Hope you all had a nice end to the year. Year 2013 went by so quickly, Partly i think because i spent half of it in a kind of shock induced haze following the death of my brother, but also because when i came to, I have been keeping myself incredible busy at times.
The past year i have also discovered things about myself and about others, that i might not have done if the years events would not have happened, or if they would have unfolded in a different way.
The biggest thing i have discovered about myself is despite feeling constantly frustrated about big groups of people, I am actually a very family oriented person when it comes to show. Even if to many of them at the same place at any one given time for to long will get me a bit flustered. Yes in fact, my teenage self used to think that all my siblings were everywhere at all times and i could not get away from them. I could not wait to move from home. But in reality i really really do love them for being in my life absolutely all the time, even if i might not see them or talk to them that often. An occasional text message or letter is awesome and i do admit i am terrible at writing back.
I'm sorry.
And i would also say that with my parents being divorced i have also had to learn how to balance to get equal amount of time with both of them. Even though its been a bit difficult at times (especially when i spent time at home in April) when every one (including friends) wanted me to spend all my time with that certain person forever and not much with everyone else.
Sorry guys, i hate making you disappointed but i had to think about every single one of you and myself too. Unfortunately i did not have time for all of you and also wanted to say it was no holiday that anyone would like to make voluntarily, instead it was a very tough time for me. Despite how i looked or seemed on the outside.
I have to say it was very nice to come home, and also "almost" get ripped to pieces by every one desperate to spent their time with me.
Thank you it means a lot.
I feel positive about the year ahead there is going to be so many new opportunities and experiences waiting for me if i just let the winds take me there. I'm going to be studying online through the C.B.F.C.A University in Queensland which i get funded by work to do, and Mike has also decided to study online through the Open university in Sydney.
Both of us will go down those pathways while still in full time work. I'ts nice to know i will have a study buddy even though we will not be studying the same things.
On the Tuesday we were told that we will be having a final inspection of the house within 2 and a half weeks time, but as of Friday afternoon we got to know it will be sometime during next week. The Final inspection is going to consist of us walking around in the house writing a list of things that needs to be completed before the build meets our pre-build expectations and signed agreements. Which means that after we have signed the paperwork for the house at the end of the inspection. The house will be in what they call the technical completion stage.
The next step would be for the builder to tell the bank, and the bank to have their independent inspection and valuation. Then we will pay the final payment once the bank is happy. Once the builder has received the money we will get to book a time to go pick up the keys and the house will be ours. At some point in between or after some of those things too there will be the completion of the details we signed for in the technical completion stage. All the above will have an expected time frame of events of about three to four weeks. Depending on what we decide to do, we might be living in the house mid February.
There is a few thing we have agreed on that we want to have done before we move, and that would be to get the floors, the drive way and the garage sealed. We also want our main living area floor to be completely tiled. Then we can have the main living area as first base and make the bedrooms livable while not having to worry about any furniture getting in the way.
Here is some pictures on the progress so far. I still need to upload the newest pictures to my computer so unfortunately they were not yet available for selection.
Everything is getting very exciting, and we are ready to get in as soon as possible. Its going to be the first time in three years we are actually going to have the fridge in the kitchen instead of in the garage.
It will also be the first time ever living in our own house, i don't know about any one else's goals in life, but that is definitely one of my big life goals achieved. To feel that you are ultimately responsible for the creation and maintenance of a good home.
And also getting those news out of the way. Lets not forget about Christmas.

And also getting those news out of the way. Lets not forget about Christmas.
As you can see, because we were so many celebrating Christmas at our house this year the tree was drowning in gifts.
This year i got quite a lot of house related items.
My favorite items in no special order were: Lindsay Stirling CD, Christmas star, Finnish Licorice, Swedish Snow jewelry, Animal crossing new leaf for 3DS and pictures of my siblings.
On the picture is also gift cards, kettle, taj-mahal nano Lego, toaster, hair curler, Candy scented bath soap, perfume, Lego super heroes for 3DS, Paper Mario for 3DS, Lego lord of the rings for 3DS, a lot of Swedish candy, 2 towels, saint Lucia party, cookbooks, more candy, post cards, licorice biscuits, pots and pans, travel spa set, sheets, candle pins, Christmas CD's, color pencils, a God jul Sign in wooden letters, and some more candy including Maltesers who are not present on the picture since they were busy getting eaten behind the camera.
