We went down to the block to have a look to see if they were serious when they said the pad was down. They were and i took a few pictures to show it off.
We were surprised that the size of the garden is going to be bigger than we thought, and also that the pad on its own looks quite small. But we are not worried about that, in fact this house we are living in now looked very small when it was only a pad too. But then turned out to feel huge when the walls were up. We are expecting the same optical illusion to happen to ours.
Now we hope that they will be starting the brick work in a couple of weeks when the cement has set properly.
The RSPCA training went well i think i will get to know this coming week. I did however manage to walk a dog that pulled the lead so hard it sprained my finger quite a lot. To make matters a bit worse it was my ring finger with my rings on. And it got swollen, to the point that the doctor told me to go to the emergency room if the swelling got any worse. So they could cut the rings so they wouldn't strangle my fingers blood supply. Luckily it did not get worse. Yesterday (Saturday) , three days after the event, the swelling has gone down enough so i manged to take the rings off myself. Even if the finger looks greenish blue i wont have to worry about the rings getting cut off anymore. From now on, i will take the rings off while working with the dogs. Lesson learned.
There has also been lots going on behind the house we are living in now. We have a big paved area now and a grass area too.
The Dogs were over joyed to see the grass so they spent quite a good portion of the rest of the day just rolling on it. I guess they missed the grass from our other places and has been disappointed they mainly have sand and rocks here.
Mikes grandparents are booked to come here in November. And they will be staying until the end of March. We have also gotten to know that one of mikes aunties from the UK will come here for February. Maybe All of them will be here for our house being finished, that would be so fun! I am secretly hoping for a house key in February but will keep my true feelings at some time late March early April. At least then if it doesn't happen in February i wont feel disappointed.
I might also have a difficult choice ahead of me since two work places would like me to start working with them temporary one or two days a week to see if they want to take me on. And a third has called to talk about a job application i sent to them. So if they end up wanting me to work too, i really need to think about their pros and cons and choose wisely. I will get a better view of what they all want me to do on Monday or Tuesday when i'll hopefully get calls from at least two of them.
