Lately i have been entertaining myself by playing Maple story Online, Scribblenauts, Minecraft and many other games. Many of the games i have been playing has been games included in a Steam gift given to me as a birthday present by a good friend. I feel it is strange how i get those long periods of gaming, and then suddenly i get thrown in to something other and completely different for a while. A while back my obsession was getting in to experiments with new recipes and to be honest those experiments produced some ideas for future interesting meals. Some of them i'm sure will work out great.
There is a standing joke going around of how i will open a Swedish restaurant and take the world by storm. And how my mom will come and work for me in the kitchen. Fun thing about that is that i don't normally cook Swedish meals at all (except meatballs, that my hubby keeps requesting). Most of my food, honestly is Asia inspired in some way. I do have my cookbook that i started to collect recipes into when i was younger. Basic meals that was a few of my favorites while i was still living with my parents. Some of them too i need to confess, i have changed slightly, but it still doesn't feel like i should get the honor to say its my food. All i have done is tweaking, and the previous genius that came up with the concept should still get the honor.
I had a surprising but nice conversation with my mom about a week back when my phone decided to call her by itself just out of the blue. I might be seen as a complete weirdo saying it, but i think it might have been the work of someone (e.g. my late brother) who decided i needed cheering up. But i am not going to say for sure that was what happened. Its just a thought that makes me feel better about myself and the world in general at the moment than the thought of a phone related glitch. What ever happened however, made me feel so much better than i did before and that also made me think that i might decide to call some other day and have a chat. I just need to figure out a time that might be appropriate so i don't end up disturbing her at work.
Right now and going back a month or so we are having a bit of a project on our hands, trying to build a 5000 piece puzzle on the kitchen table. Half the pieces is still in the box (the sky pieces) and the rest is laid out around it. The only thing is, we had to get the trials table as a side supporting table for spreading out the pieces, and the puzzle had to be put on a board on top of the table since it is to big to fit on the actual table.
As for our house build progress we have received news that the bank has accepted our loan after a lot of stuff happening and having to be fixed. To make a long story short, there was a savings account started in our name because we were having the loan with that bank. We didn't know we had the account, so when they said that one of our accounts was overdrawn we had no idea what was going on. We had to figure out what was wrong and then after spending the whole previous day on the phone, we went in to their office to close the account. The tragic thing is that they put our entire loan on hold for a measly 4 dollars in account maintenance fees that had been charged to the otherwise empty account. We didn't have to pay those few dollars anyway when we closed the account because the lady thought it was just ridiculously low amount to try to charge us for. We have also received the building licence from the council. It is getting really interestingly close to something actually happening on the land. The land that i realize now i have not yet posted any photo of how it looks. But at this stage it might not even be interesting for anyone but me and my hubby since its mostly sand and grass at the moment.
The pictures above is our driveway to the block all of which need to be re-paved when the build is finished. The picture of the block is from before we cleaned it up so there is some stuff that people have dumped on it. We tried to solve it by giving our neighbors permission to park on our driveway. if you want to drive in to our block then you have to either crash through walls or fences and to be honest, i don't think people are that desperate.
So now we just need to sign the bank loan grant papers, then the builders should already have sent the plans and the building permit to the bank. So hopefully by the end of next month we will be expecting to announce that they have started construction.
As some might already have noticed i changed my blog introduction to a new page instead of on my profile and first post in the blog. I have also added contact options on to that page for those of you who wants to contact me about something. There is more changes on the way, but i guess you'll see those when i have changed them.
As for myself at the moment, I'm on a medication that causes me to not sleep very well. I keep being over active and not feeling tired until 2 am, and when i do go to sleep i wake up on my own at 6 or 7:30 -ish. I did have sleeping issues already ever since we came back home from the trip, but this seems to have made it a bit more severe. So if you do see me online at ridiculous-o-clock in the morning, please tell me to go to bed. Oh, and normal filtered tap water tastes sweet, like someone have poured a few spoons of sugar in it to dissolve. It is by far the weirdest side effect I've ever had taking any medication. I don't necessarily mind the taste of sugar water, but when i do feel thirsty i want the water taste. Sugar taste makes me feel like i need to drink more.
I took a nice photo of the dogs sitting by the roses one day. They often sit together like this but its rare for them to stay sitting like that when you try to take a picture of them together. Its like they know you have the camera and suddenly decide they have other more important things to do than stay where they were.
Its also been quite cold at night but i guess that can be expected when its winter. I still need to get used to winter without snow, but there is still cool photos to be taken.
