Our last day in Sweden was really just barely a half day. We woke up, had breakfast and made our self ready for the trip. We went to the city center to exchange some money so we could eat in Doha. And then after wandering around for a bit it was time to move towards the airport. At the airport i had a little struggle with confusion, because it looked different and we also realized that all the check ins were completely computerized. And that bags could only be checked in an hour before the actual flight. So we had to wait for a bit, and by the time we had checked in the bags, told all the positions of the remaining spiders (yeah we are mean hiding spiders for a arachnophobic person to find) and said our goodbyes it was time for us to go to the gate.
A short flight later we landed in Stockholm We did assume that the bags needed to be picked up as the previous time, so we went to the baggage claim so we could pick it up. There was no baggage of ours to be seen anywhere. So in a tightly controlled pre- panic state i went to the info desk. The girl said the bags were being taken all the way to Perth for us. I decided to calm myself down by convincing both myself and mike that she knew what she was talking about. After that we went to get our Doha transfer tickets and tags, that ended up taking a long time because the printer wouldn't work at first.
Armed with our tickets we decided to get some food, so we bought some sandwiches and sat down to eat, halfway through my sandwich we realized what time it was because we heard our flight getting called out. Problem was, we were at the complete opposite side of the airport to where we needed to go to. So we ran as fast as we could and went through customs, almost a bit quick because there was a closed glass door to get through that the customs officer had to open for us. Needless to say but we made the flight, we got there and had to cue to get in to the gate anyways.
In Doha it was the complete opposite, we had more time than we needed, and security guided us in to the right gate inside an area saying american flights, where we sat for two hours completely on our own. Until boarding the plane and a line finally formed to get on the bus going to the plane. I was going to take a picture. But was unnerved by all the about 6 - 7 security guards that was moving around close by. Another thing was that it was also 4 am so it was dark.
We arrived in Perth in the late afternoon when the sun was setting. Went through customs no problem, picked up our bags, went through customs easy peasy, and then we went home, ate some proper food and went to bed.
There is more things we did in Sweden that i didn't mention in the previous posts just because those things are picture related and i thought it would be nice having a post with a bit more pictures in it.
So here below there is pictures of Mike the mountaineer, we decided to climb up behind moms house. We got to the snow mobile tracks and there we built a snowman with a mustache.
at one point during the stay mike also got the honor of appointed royal riding horse by the younger siblings. Which turned out great until all wanted to have a go at the same time.
One morning we also got a visit from the big woodpecker. There is a woodpecker too that is called the small woodpecker, but that is brown and not as beautiful as the big ones.
And as that wasn't enough we were also going through boxes of things to save, give, sell or throw away. I went through about 20 boxes of my stuff and narrowed it down to about 9 boxes to save in the end i think. Id say that's quite good. I also helped mom to go through Robins things. In the end we needed to make a path up to the shed again because the old path was unreliable. So mike went out and shoveled a very good one for us.
We visited at the end of winter and when the end comes it goes in rocket fueled speed so the short Swedish summer can do its thing before the winter comes back. So i took one picture of the snow in the beginning of our stay (below) and added one taken before we left. (Of mike shoveling snow above)
While we were there too, the bears decided to wake up. And there were reports in the news of sighted paw prints.

At the same time in the city, the snow was almost completely gone.
