I've been holding off the writing far too long again, and i apologize. And there is so much that's happened since last time so i have no idea where to start. So i guess ill start from the beginning and work my way through it in a logical pattern.
At the end of my last post i mentioned that mike were going to have a procedure done, it went well, and hes currently on medication (we don't know how long he will be on the medication, but he has at least 5 months left of it as im writing this.)
I also finished my job the 11th of September, and to be honest if i wouldn't have had the time off like i have had, i would have never coped with everything that needed to get sorted. the weekend after i finished my job we moved in to the new house. (we are still packing up boxes even now).
And also while moving in and arranging and finalizing lots of things for the wedding, the guests started arriving settling themselves in comfortably at the places they were going to stay.
I don't remember much about the last two weeks before the wedding that would really make sense if i tried to put it in a timeline. But what i do remember is that i had so fun spending time with my family. I had a few days i was trying to get in to my Swedish speaking again, but it soon got easy enough. I also remember how incredible drunk mike got on hes stag night. And that i found him with the dogs and he made it really clear that he didn't know where he was, that he was worried about hes friends being lost, and that he loved me so much.
I spent most of that night sitting with him while he was feeling like he was going to die. The day after it was my turn to have mine. But my hens night didn't see a drop of alcohol. instead it was a nice High-tea with the females of the family. They did squeeze me in to some kind of tight corset thingy, a veil and tiara with horns, an in-appropriate garter, and feather boa , wand and everything.
After that i had some more precious moments with my mom, doing our nails and talking about things. I also had some time spent with my dad and my friends from Sweden, Nina and Sophia.
Then we had the wedding rehearsal and handing in of different details to the venue and DJ and Celebrant.
And suddenly i was over at Jacky's house where i was spending my last night with the girls as an unmarried woman.
The wedding couldn't have been any better than it was in the end. Or planning and stressing before the big day, was worth every second of the day that went by, I just dropped all my worries and let everything happen. My bridesmaids got them self ready and helped me so much with whatever needed to be done in the morning. Suddenly the flowers showed at the door, and the photographer not long after that and then everything started moving along without stopping. The limousine arrived and every one was on their way to the ceremony.
When i arrived i didn't feel nervous at all. The walk down to the man i love was so exiting, even though i felt my dad was shaking a bit as he led me down the red carpet.
The ceremony was a very family oriented moment, getting every one involved in one way or another. In readings and in the ring warming ceremony. Before we knew it our statements were red, our vows were said and we both had a ring on our fingers, and we couldn't stop smiling. I have so many photos of the ceremony but have decided to share this one with you.
Also i suddenly realized that this is the first photo I've ever published in this blog with me on it. I would like to thank Pat for this photo, its one of my absolute favorite ones.
After the ceremony we had a wonderful time getting congratulated, and more photos taken before we went off in the limousine to have another photo session at the beach. I want to share one of my favorite photos from the beach too. This time a photo taken by Nina.
After the nice relaxing and fun time at the beach it was time to go back and have a bit more relaxation until it was time to have food and party all night long. We had a surprise waiting for our parents, because we had pre- recorded messages for them before we entered. Same for our bridesmaids and groomsmen. The food was fantastic and the room was too, every one enjoyed themselves and had a giggle or two at the speeches. The cake was amazing and i felt bad for having to cut it. It was white with blue ribbons and seashells and starfish on it. They looked so real, so the kitchen staff didn't give them to any of the guests and instead just threw them in the bin, witch was a shame really, since they were made out of pure deliciousness.
The picture below is again taken by Pat.
And im also impressed by the flavor of it, so nice chocolate inside and so nice vanilla on the outside soft and fluffy. I almost feel like having a piece right now, but sadly its all eaten. (except the top of it, its a fruit cake that's going to last for a year, that we are going to save for our first wedding anniversary).
The first dance went really well too, even if we had practiced it for a long time, it was a completely new experience for both of us to dance with the consideration for the width of my dress.
There was also a lot of cheering and laughs for the games and fun for the bouquet and garter too, and the partying kept most people on the dance floor until the end of the night.
Next was our adventure getting to the hotel and it started raining, so a perfect day with a perfect ending with the blessings of a very long, rich and happy marriage.
The day after we made our way back to the venue, paying off the tab, getting a few things sorted and going back home, and we tried having a short honeymoon day but it didn't really work.
We don't know yet when we will have our honeymoon most likely it will take a while.
We had a nice time after that, going to zoo and kings park with every one, and sadly having to take them to the airport in stages during a weeks time because it was time to go home.
Sadly i didn't get as much time with every one as i would have liked, but we are planning to go to Sweden, we just don't know when yet.
Mike went back to work and he got to know he had to go away again for a week to work. And he only got home again Sunday. during the week hes been away i have made arrangements finalizing some last bits for the wedding payments. cleaning up the room (specially our wardrobe where we just put things before the wedding to get them out of the way) I have also been to Mandurah a whole day. And a farewell party.
Yesterday i went to the city with Pat, Peter, Julie and Nia and had a really nice time. Me, Julie and Nia went to the pancake house, where we spent the lunch with James. Later on Nia bought herself a Hoodie and a vest. And i ended up getting myself some earrings and some stockings after chasing around half the city for a shirt that doesn't exist anymore. I also got earrings off Pat and i cant thank her enough. They are very pretty.
Today its raining and im going to focus on finishing a job application at a pub down the road. Hopefully ill have a job with them really soon. So i probably should stop writing this MASSIVE post and get on with it.
So i have to say bye bye for now and give you today's song. Our song that we had our first dance to:
Angels and Airwaves - Breathe
Vad fina ni var...jag blir fortfarande tårögd bara av att se er, mina fina!!! I LOVE YOU!
ReplyDeleteBåde Isabell och Leo kände genast igen låten och kunde placera vart och när de hört den, de är med mer än man tror ibland.
Kan knappt bärga mig tills vi ses igen, längtar!
All min kärlek till er båda /Mamma
