Lots of stuff has happened since last time i wrote. So much in fact that I'm sure that i will forget certain things. But ill try my best to remember the most major ones.
Our house has been moving in rocket speed, and as of now we have all the roof structure done.
There was a short time where we thought they would stop completely again because the neighbor said no to the previous agreed design of us being able to put the garage wall on the actual fence line. But the changes for the garage/ fence line didn't hold us up as expected. Most of the time of the two weeks we got delayed was mostly because of the rain. After the rains had stopped they started moving very quickly as you might see in the pictures below.
The plaster boards are also delivered now, so we are expecting the roof tin to be delivered any day now. We currently have a good pace so we are aiming to pay all the payments quickly to keep the flow going.
At this stage its getting really exciting to walk through the house and be able to imagine how it will be to finally live there. We are hoping for March but so far we have no clue. The builders haven't given us anything.
Work has started picking up to, with lots of Christmas stuff starting to slowly work its way through the different ways in to the country and the associated paperwork on to my desk. I imagine this Tuesday (tomorrow) will be interesting since this is a three day weekend, with the queens birthday today.
Tomorrow it will also be our second wedding anniversary. But we have already celebrated it, Mike took me to kings park to see the flowers, and wait for the sunset so i could see the lights as i have wanted for a long time to go there and see them. So we went, i also made a real effort to look nice for our first really true quality time for a while.
We walked around and i looked at flowers, there was a lot since they are currently celebrating the 50th anniversary of the botanical flower show. In the end we got to a beautiful spot with a view over the pond and nice view of the sunset through the trees.
We sat there until the sun had set and then we started moving towards the other side of the park to be able to see the lights come on. i felt like having an ice cream so mike casually walked in to a restaurant and completely took me by surprise when he said *I have a reservation for two* We had a nice dinner with an awesome view of the city lights. After the diner we had the ice cream i had wanted before the unexpected surprise. And we walked around in the park and looked at more of the lights and the memorials.
I did not expect this weekend to be the one we were going to celebrate the anniversary, hes been planning this for a long time, and i had no clue until we were right there and he told them he had a reservation. But that's how it happens if you get told to keep your nose out of the anniversary celebration planning.
We took a scenic drive home through the hills just enjoying talking to each other on the long way home. When we got home he sneakily gave me a gift for my bracelet. Two swans forming a heart while touching beaks.
It was a complete surprise and it was perfect.
We have also had Cameron staying over since hes parents has been over in Sydney for their wedding anniversary. So we have been helping with keeping him entertained for the weekend. Me and mike also went shopping together and bought some awesome Cd's. Some Muse, 30 seconds to mars and Foals.
We have also bought tickets to go see Muse live in November. The band touring with them is Birds of Tokyo so i can only imagine how cool this concert will get.
Lately i have also been playing Botanicula a click and explore indie game about five little insect creatures living in a tree that slowly gets destroyed by life eating spiders. I love the concept, music and the amount of things happening when you click different things. I have also started playing a game called Dungeonland and is a co-op strategy game where you play either as the dungeon master or as the players. So far I'm just about getting in to it but i think the design is pretty cool, because the whole world looks like a cross between puzzle pieces that has been laid down on a table with pens, dies, and other table top role playing related items strewn around and something out of a Disney movie.
